Pilot House: Jeremy, of Nordhavn, who was "eagerly" on the boat at 6am for the sea trial.

Looking Aft in the pilot house. On the left you see a couch, which doesn't yet have the cushions. Behind it there is a huge freezer, for storing frozen foods for long passages. To the right (of these photo) you see my desk, and a ladder up to the pilot house.

Radar Arch: Looking at this photo - you see the two large domes, one for internet (the Fleet 77), and one for Television. You also see the two long spinning posts (called arrays) which are the radar. The flying saucer-shaped device is the satellite compass, and not really visible in this photo is a mini-M phone system (satellite phone) and several little mushroom-shaped objects which are "GPS" -- they help us know where we are.

Looking Aft: This is looking backwards from the fly bridge, while under way.

Radar Arch: I took several pictures of this for a couple of reasons: 1) A lot of concern has been expressed about potential damage to the radar mast in extremely high winds, and 2) Concern has been raised about whether or not the lighting is exactly to coast guard standards. Both issues are being researched.

Bow: One of my bigger projects today was to locate the tenders exactly where I want them, so that the chocks (the holders) for the tenders could be made. It's trickier than it sounds. The goal is to place the tenders so that you can easily walk around the bow, no hatches are blocked, it looks right, and nothing gets bumped as the tender is raised or loweres. We achieved MOST of this..
